Computable Awards: a prestigious nomination
Every year Computable Awards recognizes the most prominent technology companies, projects and individuals in The Netherlands. Vanenburg’s “Cloud application high productivity tooling” has been nominated in the Digital Transformation category.
ColorBase: the digital foundation for a smarter printing industry
The ColorBase cloud-based platform is an ecosystem of connected tools that are redefining the printing industry, maximizing sustainable print quality and eliminating waste at every stage. This innovative platform streamlines data exchange, procurement, sales processes, customer acquisition, payments, and logistics. ColorBase partnered with Vanenburg to rapidly build a next-generation SaaS solution on Google Cloud, and is leveraging Vanenburg’s Rappit tooling to quickly develop and ship new features.
Rappit: the tool for application development on Google Cloud
Rappit is the application development accelerator for development of enterprise business applications in Java. Vanenburg developed Rappit to address the problems with typical developer tools. Unlike low-code platforms, Rappit provides the following advantages:
- No vendor lock-in
- Easy customizations, with additional coding
- No runtime license
- Enabled for Big Data & AI on Google Cloud
While optimized for the leading and open Google Cloud technology, applications generated with Rappit also run on other major cloud platforms or on-premise.
Vanenburg announced the general availability of Rappit for external users in November 2022 at Google Cloud Next Antwerp, with ColorBase as one of the launching customers.
“We have experienced the power of Rappit firsthand, allowing us to bring to market a next-generation digital platform at record speed. Rappit not only speeds up our development internally, but also allows us to create mockups and functional prototypes for prospective clients insanely quickly. This is unique and really helps sell our solutions,” says Brend Kouwenhoven, General Manager, ColorBase.
“It’s great that Vanenburg, with all its expertise, has established a framework like Rappit to serve customers faster. That’s a win-win for all parties”, says Joris Schoonis, General Manager, Google Cloud Benelux.
“We are honored with this recognition. It’s a testimony to the impact our Rappit tooling is making for customers. With Rappit, we automate the development activities for complex cloud applications and make them ready for AI/ML purposes. The market is getting weary of the vendor lock-in that comes with low-code platforms and is looking for alternatives to rapidly build enterprise-grade applications. Rappit provides the next-generation tool to do just that”, says Ardjan Baan, CEO, Vanenburg.
